Zimbabwe has announced plans to return large-scale farmland to 67 white farmers whose properties were seized by the government.
The farmers are among nearly 4,000 white commercial farmers who lost their land under the administration of former President Robert Mugabe beginning in 2000.
Zimbabwe’s Minister of Agriculture, Anxious Masuka, said the move follows economic and trade agreements the country has entered into with Germany, Netherlands, Switzerland and Denmark.
According to DW Africa, Zimbabwe is implementing policies aimed at restoring relations with European countries.
