NIGERIA: Activist Denounces NDC Membership Over Influx Of APC Members, Says They ‘Wolves In Sheep’s Clothing’
By Onoja Baba
Popular Delta State activist and social commentator, Elvis Okafor Green, has announced his resignation from the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC).
In a statement posted on his X handle on Sunday, Green said he could no longer continue in the party due to the heavy influx of politicians from the All Progressives Congress (APC), whose character and ideology he claimed were inconsistent with his personal principles of governance.
He warned Nigerians not to be deceived by the current wave of defectors into the NDC, describing many of them as “wolves in sheep’s clothing” who remain APC members by blood and character, only seeking a new political shelter.
Green, however, clarified that he remains a patriotic citizen and will continue to vote for personalities rather than parties in future elections.
The development comes amid the ongoing political realignment and massive defections into the NDC following the entry of major opposition figures like Peter Obi and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso into the party.
