President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on Thursday, inaugurated a series of development projects in Kaduna State, aimed at boosting infrastructure, healthcare, transportation, and youth empowerment.
The projects, implemented by Governor Uba Sani’s administration, include three vocational training institutes, a 300-bed hospital, key township and rural roads, and 100 Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) buses designed to modernise the state’s transport system.
Speaking during the inauguration, President Tinubu said the initiatives represent a significant step towards enhancing the standard of living in Kaduna and fostering inclusive development.
He stated: “We are investing in people and infrastructure to ensure no Nigerian is left behind. Kaduna is setting an example.”
The newly commissioned vocational training centres, situated in Rigachikun, Soba, and Samaru Kataf, are expected to provide technical and life skills training to thousands of young people.
According to officials, the institutes will play a key role in positioning Kaduna as a hub for human capital development and technical education.
“The centres will equip our youth with market-relevant skills and enable them to become contributors to national growth,” Governor Sani said at the event.

The President also flagged off the construction and rehabilitation of major roads across the state, including the 24-kilometre Kafanchan township road, the Tudun Biri road, and a 22-kilometre road linking Kauru and Kubau Local Government Areas.
Tinubu also stated: “These roads will enhance connectivity, reduce travel time, and stimulate economic activities, especially in rural areas.”

In the health sector, the commissioning of a 300-bed hospital marks a major investment in healthcare access. The facility is expected to ease pressure on existing hospitals and deliver quality care to residents across the state’s three senatorial districts.
Furthering the state’s commitment to sustainable energy and urban mobility, Tinubu also unveiled a fleet of 100 CNG-powered buses. The buses are part of efforts to transition from fossil fuels to cleaner energy sources and improve public transportation.
“The introduction of CNG buses is a bold move towards a greener, more efficient transport system,” the President added.
Governor Sani described the projects as part of his administration’s blueprint for infrastructure-led development and people-centred governance.
He said: “These projects reflect our commitment to transforming Kaduna into a model of inclusive growth, innovation, and public service delivery.”
