NIGERIA: Senator Ishaku Abbo Unveils Ambitious Healthcare Manifesto, Promises Medical Industrial Park For Adamawa
By Onoja Baba, Nigeria
Senator Ishaku Abbo, also known as SIA, has released an abridged version of his comprehensive Healthcare Delivery manifesto as part of his bid to become Governor of Adamawa State in 2027.
In a statement on Monday, the former Senator outlined a robust three-tier healthcare plan covering primary, secondary, and tertiary services, anchored by a proposed Medical Industrial Park.
The ambitious project is designed to feature a world-class pharmaceutical company, a hospital equipment manufacturing firm, a 21-storey flagship hospital, a Medical University (College of Health Sciences), a biotechnology and vaccines production centre, a medical research institute, and an Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) production plant.
Senator Abbo projected that the Medical Industrial Park would generate approximately N700 billion in annual revenue and create over 125,000 direct and indirect jobs, positioning Adamawa State as Africa’s premier health and medical hub.
He responded to critics, particularly supporters of his political rival tagged #Vunobolki, who dismissed the plan as impossible.
“What is impossible to you is very possible to me. We are wired differently. I am born for this,” Abbo declared.
He stressed that great countries are built by determined leaders who are free from corruption, adding emphatically, “I AM NOT A CORRUPT MAN.”
The Senator described himself as an “incorrigible optimist born to serve and save,” and promised that when leaders focus on nation-building without corruption, “we can achieve the impossible.”
Abbo further announced that he will tomorrow unveil the first major Industrialization project he intends to embark upon if elected governor.
He described the initiative as the foundation for “The Great Adamawa Industrialization Plan 2027 – 2035,” which he believes will significantly reduce the cost and time of industrializing the state.
The healthcare vision forms part of Senator Abbo’s broader development agenda aimed at transforming Adamawa State through large-scale investments in health, industry, and human capital development.
His declaration comes amid growing political activities ahead of the 2027 governorship election in the state.
