NIGERIA: Over 24 NGOs Endorse Tinubu’s Re-election, Collapse Structures to Support ‘Relax Tinubu Is Fixing Nigeria’ Campaign, City Boys Movement

More than 24 non-governmental organisations across Nigeria have collapsed their structures into a single movement to mobilise support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027, declaring confidence in his administration’s efforts to reposition the country.

The groups made the declaration during a mega mobilisation event held at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja, where they said over 30,000 supporters from across the country attended the gathering.

The coalition, operating under the “Relax Tinubu Is Fixing Nigeria” initiative, said it had a combined numerical strength of over 15 million members and a reliable database that would be deployed to mobilise grassroots support for the President ahead of the 2027 presidential election. Similar pro-Tinubu support movements have also emerged ahead of the 2027 polls, with groups highlighting support for the administration’s reform agenda.

The organisations announced their decision to unite their structures, pledging to work together in promoting the achievements of the Tinubu administration and rallying Nigerians to support the President’s second-term ambition.

The event was attended by representatives of the “City Boy” movement, a support group associated with President Tinubu, who joined the gathering as part of efforts to strengthen mobilisation for the President’s re-election campaign.

The Chief Executive Officer of the Supreme Initiative, Amb. Dr Joyce Andrew, and the Director General of Relax Tinubu Is Fixing Nigeria, Hon. Ahmed Bala, were among the leaders who coordinated the initiative.

Speaking on the development, the organisers said their decision was based on their belief that the Tinubu administration was implementing policies aimed at addressing Nigeria’s economic and developmental challenges.

They urged Nigerians to remain patient and supportive of the government, insisting that ongoing reforms require time to deliver sustainable results.

The coalition said its nationwide network would focus on grassroots engagement, community mobilisation and communicating what it described as the achievements of the Renewed Hope Agenda.

Ahead of the 2027 elections, several support groups and organisations have continued to declare backing for President Tinubu, with some pledging to mobilise members and supporters across different parts of the country.

The latest endorsement by the coalition of NGOs adds to the growing political activities and realignments as parties, pressure groups and support organisations prepare for the next general elections.
