MALAWI: Spanner Malawi Extends Unbeaten Run at Nigeria Eating Championship

Malawian competitive eater Spanner Malawi has continued to raise the country’s flag high after winning his third consecutive contest at an international eating championship taking place in Nigeria.

The latest victory came on Monday when Spanner defeated his Nigerian counterpart, Spanner Nigeria, to remain unbeaten in the competition. The win also earned him a cash prize of 400,000 Nigerian Naira, adding to his growing success at the tournament.

Speaking to African Culture TV through WhatsApp, Spanner described his performance as encouraging and thanked Malawians for their continued support throughout the competition.

“I am very happy with how things are going. I have now won all the three contests I have taken part in here,” said Spanner.

He added that only one final contest remains next week before the competition concludes.

“After that, there will be another challenge where the overall winner will secure a place in the Guinness World Records,” he said.

Spanner’s impressive performance has attracted attention both in Malawi and Nigeria, with many Malawians following his journey and hoping he will finish the competition unbeaten and earn a place in the Guinness World Records.
