President William Ruto has issued a stern warning to cartels in the petroleum sector, vowing tough action against those exploiting the ongoing Middle East crisis.
Speaking during a church service in Kilgoris, Narok County, the President said the government will not allow profiteers to take advantage of the situation at the expense of Kenyans.
“We will deal firmly, decisively and conclusively with all the cartels in the oil sector,” he said.
Ruto also called for accountability among officials in the petroleum industry, noting that similar action taken in the tea, coffee and sugar sectors had helped protect farmers from explo
itation.
