NIGERIA: IGP Visits Enugu, Reaffirms Commitment To Community-Centric Policing

The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has arrived in Enugu for a two-day official visit, accompanied by the Deputy Inspector-General (DIG) for the South-East, Frank Mba, and other senior police officers.
The visit, announced through the Nigeria Police Force’s official Facebook account on Friday, underscores the IGP’s commitment to ensuring the security of lives and property.
This visit comes shortly after the IGP’s New Year message to Nigerians, where he emphasised a renewed focus on community-oriented and people-centric policing strategies in 2025.
In a press release issued earlier this week, IGP Egbetokun extended New Year felicitations to Nigerians and residents, acknowledging their resilience and determination amid the challenges of the past year.
The IGP highlighted the Nigeria Police Force’s dedication to public safety and security, urging citizens to partner with the police by remaining vigilant and reporting suspicious activities.
He stressed the importance of collaboration between the public and law enforcement in building a secure and peaceful nation.
“Together, we can create a safer and more secure environment to promote growth in all sectors of our country,” the IGP stated in his message.
