MALAWI: Muluzi Calls for Professional Probe into Drone Incident at Vice President’s Residence

President of the United Democratic Front (UDF), Atupele Muluzi, has urged the Malawi Police Service to conduct a professional and comprehensive investigation into the arrest of a suspect accused of flying a drone over the residence of Vice President Jane Ansah.
In a statement posted on his Facebook page, Muluzi said he has been following the matter with keen interest, stressing that the security and safety of the Vice President remain “non-negotiable.”
“The security and safety of the Vice President are non-negotiable. It is therefore critical that this matter is handled with the seriousness it deserves,” said Muluzi.
He further appealed to the police to ensure that appropriate measures are put in place to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.
Meanwhile, the UDF leader has expressed full confidence in law enforcement agencies, stating that they are capable of safeguarding the country’s Vice President and maintaining national
security.
