Gateway Air, an Ogun State-owned airline, has announced the commencement of flight operations across major cities in Nigeria as part of efforts to improve connectivity.
The airline will operate routes linking Abuja, Port Harcourt, Calabar, Jos, and Kano, expanding travel options for passengers across the country.
This was contained in a statement issued at the weekend by the Special Adviser on Information and Strategy to Ogun State Governor Kayode Akinmade.
According to the statement, the airline will begin scheduled operations on April 13, 2026, covering routes from Iperu to Abuja and Kano, as well as Abuja to Port Harcourt, Calabar, and Jos.
“The airline will commence scheduled flight operations… offering passengers reliable and convenient travel options.”
The statement noted that flights will operate on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, with economy fares starting from ₦100,000.
It added that the initiative is aimed at improving regional accessibility and strengthening economic activities through efficient air travel services.
Passengers were advised to make early bookings and stay updated through the airline’s official communication channels for schedules and further information.
