NIGERIA: Tinubu Gives Account of National Projects, Reaffirms Commitment
By Onoja Baba, Nigeria
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reiterated his commitment to serving all Nigerians regardless of region, stressing that his oath of office guides every policy and project under his administration.
The President made this known in a statement shared on Monday by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy.
Tinubu said his government is pursuing infrastructure and development projects across the country without bias.
He cited major projects such as the Lagos–Calabar Highway in the South, the Sokoto–Badagry Superhighway in the North, the Port Harcourt–Maiduguri rail line in the East, the Abuja–Kaduna–Kano expressway in the Centre, and the Trans-Saharan highway linking African countries.
He also noted the rehabilitation of health centres nationwide, the approval of light rail projects in Kano, Kaduna, Lagos and Ogun States, and the creation of 250,000 jobs.
According to him, power supply is returning to Kaduna through the revived 255MW power plant, while bridges in Onitsha and Bonny are reconnecting communities.
On the energy front, Tinubu said oil exploration is expanding in Bauchi and Gombe, while the Ajaokuta–Kaduna–Kano gas pipeline has successfully crossed the River Niger.
The President emphasised that the Renewed Hope Agenda is anchored on equity, ensuring that no Nigerian or region is treated as second-class.
“Every farmer who needs a road, every trader who needs power, every child who needs a school, every patient who needs care… this is who we are building for. Together we will rise as one nation, one people, and one destiny,” he said.
He urged Nigerians to “bet on Nigeria,” assuring them that the administration will not leave any region behind.
