NIGERIA: Nigeria’s Non-Oil Exports Reach $3.23bn In First Half Of 2025

The Nigerian Export Promotion Council has reported that the country’s non-oil exports rose to $3.225 billion in the first half of 2025, representing a 19.59 per cent increase from the $2.696 billion recorded in the same period of 2024.
Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of the NEPC, Nonye Ayeni, announced the figures in Abuja on Sunday while presenting the council’s half-year progress report.
Ayeni said shipment volumes also increased to 4.04 million metric tonnes from 3.83 million metric tonnes last year, driven by demand from emerging markets such as India, Brazil, Vietnam, and other African countries.
She noted that the first quarter of 2025 alone recorded $1.791 billion in non-oil exports, up 24.75 per cent from $1.436 billion in the first quarter of 2024. Shipment volumes in the same quarter rose by 24.3 per cent to 2.416 million metr
