NIGERIA: CDCFiB Opens Recruitment Portal for Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire, Immigration Services

The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFiB) has announced the commencement of its 2025 nationwide recruitment exercise into four federal paramilitary services. The application portal which opened on Monday, July 14, 2025, will close on Sunday, August 4, 2025.
The recruitment covers the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Nigeria Correctional Service, Federal Fire Service, and Nigeria Immigration Service. Applications are to be submitted online through the official recruitment portal at https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng.
According to the CDCFiB, the recruitment process is open to all eligible Nigerian citizens who meet the specified requirements. Applicants must be Nigerian citizens by birth, between the ages of 18 and 35 years, and must meet the minimum height requirement of 1.65 metres for males and 1.60 metres for females. In addition, applicants must be physically and mentally fit and must not have any criminal record.
Applicants are required to upload key documents during the application process. These documents include a birth certificate, National Identification Number (NIN) slip, certificate of origin (indigene letter), and academic certificates. Each document must be uploaded in either JPEG or PNG format and must not exceed 100 kilobytes in size.
According to the board, the application process is divided into five steps. It was noted that in the first step, applicants are expected to select the preferred service, indicate their highest qualification, and choose from the available openings. The second step involves entering their National Identification Number and phone number for identification purposes. In the third step, applicants are required to provide personal details and upload their documents. Step four involves entering educational history and uploading relevant certificates. Finally, applicants are to review and submit their completed application forms. A confirmation slip will be generated and sent to their email address after submission.
The CDCFiB emphasised that the application process is completely free of charge. The public is advised to disregard any individual or platform requesting payment for application assistance. Applicants are also urged to read the application instructions carefully before beginning the process to avoid disqualification.
