The Aba Festival is held every 7 years in Igarra in Edo state Nigeria. It marks the coming of age of an age group after being in the age group for seven years. At the end of the 7th age group, they now become elders. The last age group is given the responsibility of governing the country for the next 7 years until it becomes the tenure of the next age group. This entire ceremony marks the end of the tenure of one age group and the beginning of another. This should be adopted by all African countries for exchange and transfer of power.
