Nollywood actor Yul Edochie, has opened up about his decision to embrace traditional spirituality, describing his new path as a divine calling from God.
In a post shared on Instagram, the controversial actor explained that becoming a native doctor is not just a personal choice, but a sacred assignment to serve both God and humanity. He emphasized the importance of preserving African traditions and spiritual heritage.
Edochie wrote: “The call to become a native doctor is a call from the Most High God. A call to serve God, serve humanity, and preserve the traditional ways of your people.”
He also addressed misconceptions surrounding traditional healers, insisting that true native doctors are not evil but are sincere servants of God.
According to him, just as some pastors or religious leaders may abuse their positions, the same can happen in traditional practices but that does not define the entire calling.
He further added: “A true native doctor will never involve himself or herself in evil. A true native doctor is a servant of God Almighty,”
