NIGERIA: Seyi Tinubu Consoles Cubana Chief Priest After APC Primary Defeat
By Onoja Baba, Nigeria
Seyi Tinubu has encouraged popular socialite and businessman, Pascal Okechukwu, better known as Cubana Chief Priest, to remain strong and optimistic following his loss in the All Progressives Congress (APC) primaries for the Orsu/Orlu/Oru East Federal Constituency in Imo State.
Cubana Chief Priest, who serves as the Imo State Coordinator of the City Boy Movement, contested for the House of Representatives ticket during the APC primary held on Saturday but failed to secure the nomination.
In a message posted on his Instagram story on Sunday, Seyi Tinubu, the Grand Patron of the City Boy Movement, urged him not to be discouraged by the setback.
“Bro, sometimes by losing a battle, you find a new way to win the war. Keep your head up @cubana_chiefpriest. We know what you are capable of achieving,” he wrote.
The celebrity businessman had purchased both the expression of interest and nomination forms, stating that his ambition was driven by a desire to promote youth empowerment and grassroots development in the constituency.
The consolatory message has drawn significant attention online, with many interpreting it as a sign of continued political backing for Cubana Chief Priest within the APC ahead of future
opportunities.
