NIGERIA: Police Fix Dates For Constable Recruitment Examination In Kogi

The Kogi State Police Command has announced that the written examination for candidates in the ongoing police constable recruitment exercise will be held from April 28 to April 30 across the state.
In a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Saliu Oyiza Afusat on Monday, the command said the exercise is being conducted by the Police Service Commission in collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force for applicants who successfully passed the physical and credentials screening stage.
According to the statement, candidates from Kogi State are to sit for the examination at the Kogi State Polytechnic in Lokoja, which has been designated as the approved venue for the exercise.
Applicants were advised to visit the official recruitment portal to print their examination invitation cards, which contain details of their scheduled date, time, and venue.
The command stressed that only candidates with valid invitation slips would be allowed to participate in the examination.
The police further directed candidates to appear at the examination centre with necessary materials including writing tools, proof of identity in the form of a National Identification Number slip with a clear photograph, and their printed invitation cards. It also specified a dress code requiring candidates to appear in white shorts, white T shirts, and white canvas shoes.
The command warned that the recruitment process is entirely free and cautioned applicants against dealing with fraudsters or individuals demanding payment for assistance.
It added that anyone found engaging in such illegal activities would be arrested and prosecuted.
Commissioner of Police in the state, Naziru Bello Kankarofi, assured residents of a transparent and credible recruitment process in line with directives from the Inspector General of Police and the Police Service Commission.
