Popular Nollywood actor and filmmaker, Ibrahim Chatta, has been thrown into mourning following the death of his son.
Chatta broke the news on his Instagram page on Saturday, posting a photo of the deceased with a heartfelt message that read:
“Inna Lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un. Ya Allah, you are the knower of all things. Rest on, dear son, champ.”
The announcement has drawn widespread sympathy, with fans, friends, and fellow actors flooding his comment section to console the grieving father.
This tragic loss adds to the wave of bereavements recently recorded in Nollywood.
Just weeks ago, veteran actress Peju Ogunmola and her husband, Omobolanle Sunday, lost their only child, Ayomikun, while actor Francis Duru also lost his son, Ifeanyi, last year.
For Chatta, who once revealed that his first child died because he could not afford hospital bills, the latest tragedy has struck a painful chord with many who continue to share in his grief.
