NIGERIA: NDC Makes New Appointments, Approves Theophilus As Director Of New Media And Strategic Communications

The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has approved the appointment of Agada Abuh Theophilus as Director of New Media and Strategic Communications, with Brian Dennis named as Deputy Director in the same department.
The development was made known on Wednesday in an announcement signed by Osa Director, National Publicity Secretary of the Nigeria Democratic Congress.
Theophilus, a seasoned strategic communications professional, brings extensive experience spanning political campaigns, corporate brand management, institutional public relations, and new media operations. He is an Associate of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) and holds a Master of Arts degree in Development Communications, specialising in strategic communication for social and institutional development. He is currently a PhD candidate conducting research on election administration and management.
Brian Dennis, the new Deputy Director, is a communications analyst with over seven years of experience in strategic and political communications. He holds a Master’s degree in Peace and Conflict Resolution.
In a statement announcing the appointments, the NDC expressed confidence in the new appointees, noting that their expertise will significantly strengthen the party’s communication machinery. “The party is excited to welcome both appointees and looks forward to the energy, expertise, and fresh perspective they bring to its communications efforts,” the statement said. “The NDC is confident that their leadership will strengthen the party’s voice and deepen its engagement with Nigerians across every platform.”
The appointments are seen as part of the NDC’s efforts to reposition its public engagement strategies ahead of future political activities, particularly through enhanced use of digital and new media channels.
