The Oyo State Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has confirmed the death of four persons and the injury of another in a tragic road accident that occurred early Tuesday morning at the Soka area of the Ibadan-Lagos Expressway.

The Sector Commander, Mrs. Rosemary Alo, who disclosed the incident to reporters, said the crash involved a total of seven vehicles, including two Nissan Micra taxis, two trucks, a fuel tanker, and two Toyota Camry cars.
According to her, the accident claimed the lives of three women and one man. Their bodies have been deposited at the Adeoyo Ring Road Hospital morgue, while the lone injured victim was taken to an undisclosed hospital for emergency treatment.

Mrs Alo said: “All the vehicles involved were en route from the Iwo Road axis when the unfortunate crash occurred.”
As of press time, emergency responders were still at the scene, working to clear the wreckage and ensure no additional victims were trapped.
While the exact cause of the crash is yet to be determined, the FRSC has urged motorists to adhere strictly to road safety rules and avoid reckless driving.
