The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has alerted the public to disregard fake appointment letters currently circulating online, warning that the recruitment process has not reached the stage of issuing employment offers.
In a statement released on Friday, the Service described the letters as fraudulent and cautioned applicants against falling victim to scammers.
According to the NCS, the ongoing recruitment exercise is still at the examination stage.
The Superintendent Cadre recently completed its Computer-Based Test (CBT) across the six geopolitical zones, while the Inspector and Customs Assistant Cadres have also just concluded their online CBTs.
The Service emphasized that no appointment letters have been issued and urged applicants to rely solely on verified information from its official communication channels.
“The circulation of fake appointment letters is another attempt by fraudsters to mislead unsuspecting applicants,” the statement read.
