Nigerian Renowned singer-turned-politician, Bankole Wellington, popularly known as Banky W, and his wife, Nollywood actress Adesua Etomi, have welcomed their second child, a baby boy.
Banky W shared the joyous news on his Instagram page on Wednesday, where he posted a touching video showcasing his active role in family life since the arrival of their new child.
The video featured Banky W, who also serves as a pastor, engaging in various household duties, including cooking and providing support to Adesua. “More importantly than all my roles, I am a husband and a father,” Banky W said in the video. “We just had our second child, an amazing young boy.”
He further disclosed that since their son’s birth, he has embraced several responsibilities in the household, demonstrating his commitment to shared domestic roles.
In his advocacy for gender equality, Banky W highlighted the importance of shared responsibilities in marriage, stating, “Partnership is 100-100, not 50-50. That means in this season, I’ve been a chef, housekeeper, nanny, homework teacher, masseuse, and more—all part of my duty as a supportive husband and present father of two. And honestly, I couldn’t be happier.”
He emphasised that supporting women’s economic empowerment starts within the home and community. “Supporting Women’s Economic Power means doing my part in our home,” he wrote in his post.
