MALAWI: New Commission Set to Probe Plane Crash That Killed Chilima and Eight Others

A newly established commission of inquiry tasked with investigating the plane crash that claimed the life of Saulos Chilima and eight others has finalized all preparatory arrangements.
Among the key developments, about 150 individuals are expected to testify before the commission, providing evidence to help establish the circumstances surrounding the tragic incident.
Authorities have also indicated that the bodies of those who died in the crash are likely to be exhumed and examined as part of the investigation process.
The inquiry is scheduled to take place over a four-month period, running from May to August 2026, as officials seek to uncover the cause of the aircraft accident.
