KENYA: Ruto Congratulates Winners as 2026 WRC Safari Rally Concludes

President William Ruto has congratulated the winners of the Safari Rally following the successful conclusion of the event in Nakuru County.
The rally was won by Takamoto Katsuta and Aaron Johnston of Toyota Gazoo Racing.
Speaking after attending the rally at Hell’s Gate National Park, President Ruto commended participants, sponsors and the private sector for supporting the global motorsport event.
“We commend the private sector for taking up the responsibility of hosting, managing, promoting and funding the WRC Safari Rally,” said the President.
He noted that beginning 2027, the rally will be fully funded by the private sector, freeing up government resources to support broader sports development in th
e country.
