KENYA: ODM Delegates Ratify New Leadership, Refer Osotsi Appointment to NEC

Delegates of the Orange Democratic Movement have ratified the appointment of Oburu Odinga as the party leader during a special National Delegates Convention held at the ASK Showgrounds in Nairobi.
Oburu Odinga thanked delegates for the confidence, pledging to strengthen the party and uphold unity.
“I am honoured by the trust you have placed in me… I will work to ensure the party remains strong and united,” he said.
The meeting also approved Abdulswamad Nassir and Simba Arati as Deputy Party Leaders, alongside Gladys Wanga as National Chairperson.
Party officials called for cohesion moving forward.
“We must remain focused and united as we strengthen the party structures across the country,” one of the leaders noted.
However, delegates rejected the appointment of Godfrey Osotsi as Deputy Party Leader, referring the matter to the National Executive Committee for furt
her direction.
