Nigeria – Destiny Etiko Refutes Rumours Linking Her New Car to Omotola Ekeinde’s Husband

Destiny Etiko, a popular Nollywood actress, has refuted claims alleging that Omotola Ekeinde’s husband, Mathew Ekeinde, bought her a car.

In response to the ongoing rumors, Etiko reacted, questioning whether men still give women money, while proudly stating that she acquired 99.9 percent of her possessions herself.

Etiko revealed that she purchases a new car almost every birthday, as she enjoys changing her vehicles yearly.

She stated that some people are upset by her habit of buying cars each year, which led them to circulate an old photo of her with Mathew Ekeinde

She clarified that the photo, which has been widely shared, was taken years ago when she was on a flight, and Mathew Ekeinde happened to be the pilot. She explained that she simply asked to take a picture with him, to which he agreed, and that he did not know who she was at the time.

She said: “I don’t need anybody to tell me that God has been faithful to me. Something has been happening, and it is crazy. I didn’t want to talk about it when I heard some nuisances: people who haven’t been able to feed themselves and are so jealous that they can’t withhold the blessings of God in someone else’s life, and you expect to grow. I didn’t want to talk about this because I felt it was non-relevant.

“Does men dey give money? Because if men dey give money, I don’t know o. The last time I checked 99.9 per cent of what I achieved in my life, I did it myself with my full chest. I don’t know why some people are bitter.

“You know, I always buy a car on most of my birthdays because I like to change cars yearly. Some bitter people are hurt that I bought a car that would shake them; that’s why they brought out an old picture of me with Omotola’s husband that I took over four years ago.

“How did it happen? I was on a flight, and he was the pilot, so some people were snapping pictures with me, and he was like, what’s going on there? They told him I was an actress, and he looked at me closely, and I told him we should take a selfie, and he obliged. Nothing was there. We went down and took a selfie, and that was it. From that day till now, where hwan see the man? Wetin concern me”.

Recall that Etiko celebrated her birthday a few days ago, and rumors of the actress receiving a luxurious car from her senior colleague’s husband swelled.
