Joint troops of Operation Fasan Yamma of the Nigerian Army have killed 10 terrorists in a coordinated assault on multiple hideouts in Zamfara State.
The Nigerian Army announced the development via their official Facebook handle on Monday.
According to the statement, the successful operation targeted terror camps at Mai Tashi and Dan Jigba in Gusau Local Government Area, as well as Munhaye in Tsafe LGA.
The Army said the troops launched a deadly offensive on the bandits, neutralising 10 fighters on the spot.
Several weapons and rounds of ammunition were recovered from the scene, the statement added.
In addition, five motorcycles belonging to the terrorists were destroyed during the raid.
The military operation is part of ongoing efforts to root out insurgents and criminal gangs from Zamfara and the wider North-West region.
“Joint troops of Operation Fasan Yamma eliminated 10 terrorists in a well-coordinated, deadly attack on the outlaws’ locations at Mai Tashi and Dan Jigba in Gusau LGA, and Munhaye in Tsafe LGA of Zamfara State today, June 9, 2025.
“The operation resulted in the recovery of several arms and ammunition, and the destruction of 5 terrorist-owned motorcycles in-situ,” the post reads.
