Mawien Bulabek Named New Undersecretary of the Ministry of Information, Communication Technology and Postal Services

South Sudan President Salva Kiir Mayardit has appointed Mawien Bulabek Chol as the new Undersecretary of the Ministry of Information, Communication Technology, and Postal Services. The announcement was made on the state owned television network, South Sudan Broadcasting Corporation (SSBC).
Chol succeeds Martin Mabior Mawien, whose appointment was revoked prior to officially assuming office.
In a separate decree, President Kiir also elevated the ranks of several military officials, promoting individuals from the rank of lieutenant to major general, among other advancements.
