NIGERIA: Content Creator Dares EFCC In Viral Video, Gets Arrested In Kaduna

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested a social media content creator, Muhammed Kabir Sa’ad, for allegedly abusing the Nigerian currency and mocking the anti-graft agency in a viral video.
According to a statement released on Monday signed by Dele Oyewale, Head of Media and Publicity at the EFCC, Sa’ad, who goes by the handle @youngcee0066 on TikTok and Instagram, was apprehended by operatives of the Kaduna Zonal Directorate after posting a video where he threw naira notes on the ground and deliberately stepped on them.
In the video, he spoke in Hausa, daring EFCC officials to arrest him “if they can.”
Following surveillance, the EFCC tracked and arrested Sa’ad who is a comic content creator in the Tudun Wada area of Kaduna State.
He is currently being interrogated at the Commission’s Kaduna office.
The agency stated that the suspect will be charged to court upon the conclusion of investigations.
