NIGERIA: How Can Someone Lie With So Much Confidence?” – Seyi Tinubu Fires Back At NANS President

By Onoja Baba, Nigeria
Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has dismissed as false and defamatory allegations made against him by the President of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Comrade Atiku Isah.
Isah, during a press conference in Abuja on Wednesday, accused Seyi Tinubu and the Minister of Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande, of offering him a N100 million bribe in Lagos.
According to Isah, the bribe was meant to get him to promote President Tinubu, but he rejected the offer.
He claimed that after refusing, he was abducted, stripped naked, and beaten by hoodlums on April 15.
“They told me nothing would happen if they released the video, and even if they killed me, Seyi Tinubu would order a cover-up,” he alleged.
Isah said despite the threats, he remained determined and went ahead with his inauguration as NANS president.
“Seyi Tinubu can do anything he wants, but we are determined,” he added.
Reacting via his Instagram stories on Friday, Seyi Tinubu described the entire allegation as baseless.
“Wow… how can someone lie with so much confidence? An attempt to defame my character,” he wrote.
He said he had never met Comrade Isah or held any meeting with him in Lagos or elsewhere.
“I have never knowingly met him before, nor did I visit any location with thugs,” he stated.
Seyi insisted that all the claims made by Isah were “completely fictional.”
No official response has yet been issued by the Ministry of Youth Development as the matter continues to stir public interest.
