The Headies Academy has announced the official lineup of performers for the 17th edition of the Headies Awards, scheduled to hold on April 27, 2025, at the Landmark Event Centre in Lagos.
With the theme “Back to Base,” the 2025 edition marks the award’s return to Nigeria after previous editions were held abroad.
The ceremony is expected to feature performances from some of the country’s most celebrated artists, including Shallipopi, Chike, Flavour, Qing Madi, and Nasboi.
Leading the nominations this year is Shallipopi, who secured six nods, including the highly anticipated Next Rated category. The fast-rising artiste is expected to deliver one of the night’s most notable performances.
Also billed to perform is Chike, a former award winner with four nominations in this edition, and veteran highlife musician Flavour, who holds the Headies Lifetime Achievement Award.
Their participation underscores the ceremony’s commitment to celebrating both emerging and established talents in.
According to the Headies Academy, a second ceremony will take place in December to address previous scheduling inconsistencies and to restore the annual rhythm ofof the awards.
