NIGERIA: Ojulari Assumes Role As NNPC Ltd GCEO, Seeks Support To Achieve Strategic Goals

Bayo Ojulari has officially taken over as the Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO) of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd), succeeding Mele Kyari.
During a brief handover ceremony held on Friday at the NNPC Towers in Abuja, Ojulari called on the management and staff of the company to support his leadership in achieving the organization’s ambitious targets.
This was contained in a statement issued by the NNPC’s Chief Corporate Communications Officer, Olufemi Soneye, where he quoted Ojulari as he commended his predecessor for his contributions to the transformation of NNPC into a commercially driven entity.
The statement reads: “The new Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd), Bayo Ojulari, has officially taken over the reins of the company from his predecessor, Mr. Mele Kyari.
In a brief handover ceremony held at the NNPC Towers on Friday, the GCEO commended Kyari for his contributions to the growth of NNPC Ltd and his sterling service to the nation.
He disclosed that the objective of his management was to build on the successes of his predecessor and take the company to the next level.
Ojulari said: “My aim is to build on the solid foundation laid by Mr. Kyari and take the company to greater heights. The targets ahead are substantial, and I will rely on the cooperation of the management team and staff, as well as Mr. Kyari’s guidance.”
In his remarks, Kyari congratulated Ojulari on his appointment and expressed gratitude to the staff for their support during his tenure.
He pledged to continue supporting the company and the new management, adding: “I’m just a phone call away.”
