NIGERIA: James Brown Seeks Financial Assistance, Pauses Female Identity

Nigerian crossdresser and social media personality, James Brown, has announced that he is temporarily abandoning his female identity due to financial constraints.

In a recent Instagram post, Brown made a public appeal for financial assistance, stating that he require support through advertisements and promotions to sustain himself.

He also disclosed his desire to further his education, revealing that he needs approximately ₦30 million to cover tuition fees.

He wrote: “Many people have been asking, ‘James, is it true you need help?’ I do. I need all the ads and promotions I can get. I have reverted to being a boy for now. I have reached out to some friends, and if you want to support, nothing is too small. Please, don’t mock someone who is making efforts to get back to school,” he wrote.

His statement has sparked mixed reactions across social media. One Instagram user, Lorlah, commented, “You can study in Nigeria; there are good universities here. Why spend over ₦50 million just to study in the UK?”

Another, Kween Mimi, added, “Cut your coat according to your size. Must you go to school in the UK? What happened to UNILAG or UNIBEN?”

Others offered more direct advice. A user identified as Teacher Grins suggested, “Get a job, start a business. That’s what regular people do.”

Meanwhile, some reactions took a sarcastic tone. A commenter, Treasure Daniel, wrote, “You’ve turned into a boy? What were you before?”

Another, Abaya Gold, stated, “Now you see that being a girl isn’t easy. Go and work.”
