A transport officer at Ntcheu District Hospital, Mr. Austen Phiri, has come under fire for allegedly abusing his position and mistreating hospital staff. With 15 years of service, Mr. Phiri has been accused of using his vehicle for personal errands, misusing his authority, and disrespecting his superiors.
According to sources, Mr. Phiri has been using the hospital vehicle for his own benefit, and when confronted by hospital administrators, he becomes abusive and uncooperative. Despite numerous complaints, no action has been taken against him.
The situation has become so dire that some hospital staff members are now refusing to work with Mr. Phiri. The hospital administration has been urged to take immediate action to address the situation and ensure that Mr. Phiri is held accountable for his actions.
