NIGERIA: House of Reps Orders Immediate Shutdown Of Porn Websites In Nigeria

The House of Representatives has directed the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) to immediately shut down all pornographic websites across the country.
The resolution was passed during plenary on Tuesday, following a motion sponsored by Hon. Dalhatu Tafoki, representing Katsina State.
Tafoki described the move as a necessary step to “protect societal values.”
As part of the directive, the House urged the NCC to mandate internet service providers to block access to pornographic content nationwide.
