MALAWI: MUBAS Alumnus Selected For Prestigious Med-Tech Innovation Expo In Ireland

Hudson Mwangalika Jr, a 24-year-old Malawian University of Business and Applied Sciences (MUBAS) alumnus, has been chosen to attend the esteemed Med-Tech Innovation Expo 2025 in Ireland.
Mwangalika, a talented tech entrepreneur, developed an innovative Obstacle Avoidance Device designed to assist individuals with visual impairments.
The Med-Tech Innovation Expo, scheduled to take place in August, is a premier event that brings together medical device innovators from around the world.
Mwangalika is eager to showcase his groundbreaking device and learn from other innovators in the field.
In addition to his work on assistive technologies, Mwangalika has ambitious plans to collaborate with the government and security agencies to develop cutting-edge military technologies in Malawi.
His proposals include the development of advanced military drones, stealthy mini robotics submarines, and a magnet frequency system.
To support his research and development efforts, Mwangalika has requested government authorization to establish an intelligence and sensitive research headquarters for his tech company.
This facility will enable him to pursue innovative projects and collaborate with government agencies to drive technological advancements in Malawi.
