NIGERIA: NAFDAC Confiscates N3.8bn Unregistered Food Products In Lagos

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control has confiscated N3.8 billionaire unregistered food products from a warehouse in Lagos, Nigeria.
The agency disclosed this in a statement posted on its official X (formally Twitter) and Tuesday, that the operation was carried out by its investigation and enforcement directorate.

NAFDAC added that the warehouse management has been summoned for questioning as part of the ongoing investigation.

The Agency further noted that appropriate sanction with follow after the investigation has been concluded.
As the investigation unfolds, NAFDAC urged citizens to be cautious and remain vigilant, particularly during the festive season.

They further encouraged the public to report any suspicious activities to the nearest NAFDAC office.
