Nigeria’s Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is sharing its electoral expertise with a delegation from the Autonomous National Electoral Commission of Benin (CENA).
The 12-member team, led by CENA President Dr. Sacca Lafia, visited INEC’s headquarters in Abuja on Monday for a study tour aimed at learning from Nigeria’s advanced electoral processes and best practices.
INEC Chairman, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, alongside other senior members of the commission, warmly welcomed the delegation.
According to a post on INEC’s official Facebook page, the visit focused on equipping CENA with insights and strategies to enhance their electoral system as Benin Republic prepares for its 2026 general elections.
The delegation included National Commissioners, Directors, and other critical staff of CENA.
