The National Music Director of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Dr. Jude Nnam, has reportedly been kidnapped in Umunnachi, Anambra State.
According to Rev. Fr. Augustine Mario, a Catholic priest who shared the news on Facebook, the incident occurred around 6 p.m. on Thursday evening.
Rev. Fr. Mario urged the public to pray for Sir Jude Nnam’s safety and quick release. “May God grant him safety and quick release from his abductors. Amen,” he wrote.
Sir Jude Nnam, a prominent liturgical composer and musician, is also a member of the National Liturgical Commission of the Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria (CSN).
The incident comes just weeks after he celebrated his 50th birthday and ministered at the ‘Unusual Praise 2024’ event held at the Basilica of the Most Holy Trinity, Onitsha.
