Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has extended warm congratulations to Donald Trump following his re-election as President of the United States.
Trump reclaimed the White House on Wednesday after securing more than the 270 Electoral College votes needed to win the 2024 presidential election, marking a return to power four years after his defeat.
Netanyahu, in a message posted on his official X account (formerly Twitter), praised Trump’s victory as a monumental achievement. “Dear Donald and Melania Trump, Congratulations on history’s greatest comeback! Your historic return to the White House offers a new beginning for America and a powerful recommitment to the great alliance between Israel and America,” Netanyahu wrote, referring to Trump’s win as “a huge victory.”
The 45th U.S. President made a strong comeback, defeating Democratic candidate Kamala Harris in a closely watched election to become the 47th President of the United States.
