Popular media personality, Toke Makinwa, has debunked rumors of a secret wedding that circulated on social media. Taking to her account on “X” (formerly Twitter), Makinwa clarified that she did not get married, despite the speculations.
In her post, Makinwa expressed gratitude for the outpouring of love and prayers from fans who have been eager for her to settle down.
She assured them that God, being the author of time, will make it happen when the time is right. “I deeply appreciate all your love and prayers, I see how you all desire for me to settle down and God who is the author of time will do it when he thinks it is right. Yesterday was to honour God,” she wrote.
Makinwa further addressed her friends and family, emphasizing that she would never have a secret wedding, especially considering how much they have supported her. “I owe you all my friends and family too much to have a secret wedding… It was a Thanksgiving day and nothing more,” she added.
She also humorously mentioned that her parents had been inundated with calls from friends due to the rumours but reassured everyone that she is “very much still single.”
