Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, has submitted a petition to the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Keir Starmer, seeking support for the actualization of the Yoruba nation.
This development was revealed on Sunday by Igboho’s spokesman, Olayomi Koiki, through a post shared on his X page.
According to Koiki, the petition was delivered on behalf of Prof. Adebanji Akintoye, leader of the Yoruba Nation movement.
The petition calls for the intervention of the UK government in the agitation to establish a separate country for the Yoruba people.
In a post on his social media page, Koiki tweeted: “At exactly 14:00 hrs, Dr. Chief Sunday Igboho delivered a petition to the UK Prime Minister on behalf of Prof. Adebanji Akintoye, leader of the Yoruba Nation movement, and Olayomi Koiki, his spokesman @10DowningStreet.”
In his fight for the actualization of Yoruba Nation, Sunday Igboho has had several clashes with the Nigerian government and its security agencies.
