Nigeria – Governor Mbah Names Miss Universe Nigeria, Chidimma Adetshina, as Enugu State Ambassador

Enugu State Governor, Peter Mbah, has announced the appointment of Miss Universe Nigeria 2024, Chidimma Adetshina, as the state’s ambassador.
The announcement was made on Thursday when the governor hosted Chidimma and her father, Okechukwu Onwe, at the Government House in Enugu.
During the meeting, Governor Mbah commended Chidimma for her perseverance and tenacity, describing her as a shining example of the Enugu spirit. He acknowledged her potential to motivate young people, particularly young girls, by sharing her inspiring journey.
The governor also pledged the state’s full support as Chidimma prepares to represent Nigeria at the Miss Universe competition scheduled to be held in Mexico.
“Your journey is truly inspiring,” Mbah said. “Despite facing adversity, you have shown the strength and resilience that defines the people of Enugu. We believe you can be a significant influence on our youth, especially young girls, by sharing your story and encouraging them to pursue their dreams.”
In her response, Chidimma expressed appreciation to the people of Enugu for the warm reception she received. She praised Governor Mbah for his dedication to education and vowed to use her platform to uplift and inspire young women.
“My journey is one that many young people can relate to, not just here in Nigeria but across the world. I am committed to being a source of inspiration for young women and sharing the lessons I have learned along the way,” she said.
