Nigeria – Gasoline Tanker Explodes in Bayelsa State

A fully loaded gasoline tanker has reportedly exploded on the Mbiama-Yenagoa road in Bayelsa State.

According to Musa Mohammed, the spokesperson for the state police command, the incident, which occurred on Sunday, resulted in no fatalities.

Mohammed stated that passersby alerted the driver to a leakage on his truck shortly before it burst into flames. The explosion destroyed the tanker and a tricycle (Keke).

The police command, in collaboration with the Federal Fire Service, swiftly contained the situation, ensuring the safety of all individuals present.
