Anioma and Ukwuani Dancers from Isheagwu, Aniocha South, Delta State
These colorful dancers are from Isheagwu in Aniocha South Local Government of Delta State. They are also known as Ukwuani or Anioma people which is a name for people who hail from the Eastern part of Delta State. They are mainly fishermen and farmers in their area and their performance signifies canoe and paddling which shows their way of life. Their music is mellow and easy going and the women are very astute at their craft.
