The Allied Peoples Movement has won all 20 chairmanship seats contested in the Bauchi State local government elections, according to results announced by the Bauchi State Independent Electoral Commission.
The BASIEC Chairperson, Jummai Abubakar, announced that APM candidates also secured 319 of the 323 councillorship seats contested across the state.
She declared the candidates duly elected after the completion of voting, counting, collation and verification of results.
The remaining four councillorship seats were shared by the Social Democratic Party, National Rescue Movement, Zenith Labour Party and Young Progressive Party.
Abubakar said the elections were conducted independently and in accordance with the law, while congratulating the people of Bauchi State and the successful candidates.
