NIGERIA: Tonto Dikeh Unveils Church, Names It ‘New Wine Prophetic Tabernacle’

Nollywood actress and politician, Tonto Dikeh, has unveiled a new spiritual movement, the New Wine Prophetic Tabernacle, describing it as an interdenominational altar dedicated to prayer, revival and spiritual transformation.

Dikeh announced the development on Sunday through a post on her Instagram page, where she described the New Wine Prophetic Tabernacle, also known as NWPT, as a “global movement of consecrated believers” called to experience what she termed the raw power, purity and presence of God.

The movement is anchored on the biblical passage in Mark 2:22, which states, “And no one puts new wine into old wineskins.” According to the actress, NWPT was established as a dwelling place for people who are unwilling to settle for what she described as lukewarm Christianity and who desire genuine revival, spiritual fire and transformation.

In outlining the vision of the movement, Dikeh said NWPT seeks to witness a global awakening of consecrated believers who would operate in the power, purity and presence of God while transforming nations and advancing the Kingdom of Christ.

The movement’s stated mission is to establish an interdenominational altar of prayer, revival and apostolic training. It is also expected to equip what the organisers described as watchmen, activate spiritual gifts, promote soul winning and provide spiritual freedom through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Dikeh clarified that the new movement is not intended to operate as a conventional church. According to her announcement, “This is not a church; it is an intense gathering of those consecrated and equipped for the purposes of God,” describing its members as people set apart, refined by God’s presence and commissioned to advance His Kingdom.

The New Wine Prophetic Tabernacle is scheduled to hold weekly fellowship every Friday at 6pm.

The announcement comes months after Dikeh began signing several of her social media posts as “Ada El-Roi” and became increasingly active in the NSPPD community led by Pastor Jerry Eze, amid a noticeable shift in her public expression and lifestyle.

In December 2025, Dikeh also shared a public testimony at a service of Streams of Joy International Church, where she spoke about what she described as her deliverance from smoking, alcohol addiction, masturbation and prolonged anger issues. She revealed that she started smoking at the age of 13 and said she had experienced healing from the struggles.

Dikeh, who ventured into politics in 2022 as a governorship running mate in Rivers State, has also remained in the public spotlight over developments in her personal life.

Earlier in 2026, she reflected on her turbulent marriage to her former husband, Olakunle Churchill, a decade after their public separation, before the former couple later reconciled publicly and ended their long-running feud.
