NIGERIA: Ini-Okojie Celebrates Birthday as First-Time Mum, Welcomes Baby Boy

Nollywood actress Ini Dima-Okojie has announced the birth of her baby boy, marking her birthday with an emotional reflection on motherhood and the life-changing experience of becoming a first-time mum.

The actress shared the news on her social media page on Wednesday, revealing that she chose to forgo her traditional birthday photoshoot and instead post a photograph taken on the day her son was born.

“This year, none of that felt quite right. Instead, I’m sharing a photo from the day my son was born. The day my life changed forever,” she wrote.

According to Ini-Okojie, this year’s birthday carries a deeper meaning because it is the first she is celebrating as a mother.

She described motherhood as the most humbling, challenging and rewarding role she has ever experienced, noting that the past few weeks have been filled with joy, exhaustion and personal growth.

“There is no role I have ever played that has humbled me, stretched me, challenged me, or filled my heart quite like this one,” she said.

The actress also spoke about caring for her newborn son, whom she described as “the cutest boy with the sweetest dimples,” adding that the experience has given her a greater appreciation for mothers everywhere.

Despite the challenges of the newborn phase, Ini-Okojie said she would not trade the journey for anything, expressing gratitude for the opportunity to raise her son.

“Today, I celebrate another year of life, but even more than that, I celebrate the privilege of being his mum,” she wrote.
