Nigeria – Governor Caleb Mutfwang Describes Plans To Join APC As False

The Plateau state governor, Caleb Mutfwang, has described as false, claims that he is contemplating leaving the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for The All Progressive Congress (APC).
In a statement issued on Friday by his Director of Press and Public Affairs (DOPPA), Mr Gyang Bere, in Jos, he noted that the rumors are baseless and do not warrant a formal response.
However, he noted that it is necessary to respond to dispel misconceptions that may mislead the public and tarnish his integrity.
” While this baseless rumor does not warrant a formal response, it has become necessary to dispel any misconceptions that may mislead the public and tarnish my integrity.”
The governor reaffirmed his commitment to PDP, he noted that he will continue to uphold the values of the party and trust places on him by the people of Plateau State.
”I remain a committed member of the PDP and firmly uphold the values of the party and trust placed on me by the people of Plateau.”
The governor disclosed that the source of such rumor was coming from those who did not wish the people of Plateau well.
” The rumor that I’m contemplating leaving the PDP for the APC is entirely false. This fabricated story is the work of those who do not wish Plateau well.”
He urged the public to dismiss such rumors and stop circulating false information.
” I wish to call on the public to dismiss the rumor and refrain from sharing the false information.”
