Israel Adesanya Bets $10,000 On Anthony Joshua’s Defeat of Daniel Dubois

Nigerian-born UFC star, Israel Adesanya, has placed a high-stakes $10,000 bet on Anthony Joshua to emerge victorious in his upcoming IBF heavyweight title fight against Daniel Dubois.

The bout is scheduled to take place on September 21, 2024, at Wembley Stadium, England, with 96,000 fans expected to create an electric atmosphere.

In an Instagram post on Friday, Adesanya shared the details of his bet, placed on September 17, 2024, with the inscription, “Dubois, Daniel – Joshua, Anthony.”

The post also included a caption that read: “ÒGÚN‼️ This fight got beef…grab the #stake sauce,” confirming his belief that Joshua will win between the 10th and 12th rounds. If the bet comes through, Adesanya stands to earn a payout of $50,000.

Dubois, who will be fighting at Wembley for the first time, remains unfazed by the occasion.

The 26-year-old has boldly declared his intention to knock out Joshua, a two-time former unified world heavyweight champion, aiming to deliver only the second knockout defeat of Joshua’s career.

“I aim to knock him out. That’s the program. That’s the mindset; that’s the intention coming into this fight,” Dubois told Sky Sports.

He added, “I’m going to focus my whole life on destroying him and just being a good destroyer, a good conqueror.”

Joshua, 33, is riding high after four consecutive victories, including a knockout win over former UFC champion Francis Ngannou, and will be looking to continue his winning streak against the hard-hitting Dubois.
